Payment Methods

The payment options 9Sixteen Apparel accepts, when your payment is taken, and the descriptor that appears on your statement.

Options at checkout

PayPal

Use funds in your PayPal account, or any card or bank linked to that wallet.

Debit and credit cards

Processed through PayPal’s guest checkout. Select PayPal, then the option to pay by card; no PayPal account is required. Which card networks work is PayPal’s decision and depends on your country.

Pay Later

Shown only when PayPal offers it for a particular purchase.

Not accepted

Off the list: crypto, wire or bank transfer, payment on delivery, money orders, checks, and gift cards from other shops. Only the options shown at checkout are available.

Currency

Everything is priced and billed in U.S. dollars (USD). Where your account runs in another currency, PayPal or your bank handles the conversion.

Payment security

Each payment reaches PayPal over TLS encryption. Card and bank numbers go into fields hosted by PayPal rather than our pages, so 9Sixteen Apparel cannot see or store them.

Timing of the charge

We charge the total at the moment you check out, since production follows shortly. Cancel inside the 6-hour window, before printing, and the entire payment is returned; the steps are in the Cancellation & Modification Policy.

Declined payments

Frequent causes: a mismatch between the billing address you typed and the bank’s records, a low balance, an expired card or an automated fraud screen. Double-check the details, then speak to your bank or PayPal. Still failing? Email us and we will dig into it with you.

Taxes and import charges

Sales tax on taxable orders is displayed at checkout before payment. Parcels crossing a border may carry duties and import taxes, which the recipient pays (more in our Shipping Policy).

Refund route

An approved refund follows the payment back to where it came from, card or PayPal. We issue them within 5–10 business days, and your statement may take a little longer to show the credit. The Return & Refunds Policy describes when a refund applies.

Statement descriptor

Our charges carry the descriptor PAYPAL *9SIXTEENAPP. Puzzled by one? Send us when it posted and how much it was; we will look into it and answer within one business day, before you need to contact your bank.
